ABOUT THE AUTHOR A high school Spanish teacher and graduate of the University of the District of Columbia, D. A. Lindsay also belongs to the American Federation of Teachers and the Greater Washington Association of Teachers of Foreign Languages. Lindsay is a native of and lives in Washington, D.C. She also is active with the First Rock Baptist Church Sunday school and choir. She has five children: Maisha, Michelle, Merilyn, Bernard, and Marlena. Besides writing, Lindsay's other interests include reading, dancing, making videos, singing, and planning special events for her students. The Broom Closet Collection I is Lindsay's first published book.
