by Seneca T. Wilson

Kind of a One is a creative and captivating collection of poetry that emanates uninhibited passion and sensuality. Wilson taps into a wide range of subjects including sex, survival, race, and spirituality. In “I Rise,” he admonishes close-mindedness and urges a reclaiming of power in his call to action for the black brotherhood and sisterhood. He also celebrates the beauty and absolute power of a black woman in “A Black Woman” and states, “Blessed at birth until now/ Nursed with the essence of life/ Honestly words cannot express her worth.” Wilson’s candid celebration of love and life is inspirational and a must-read for all poetry lovers!

Seneca T. Wilson graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a native of Pascagoula, Mississippi. A member of the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association, Wilson also enjoys reading, writing, poetry, basketball, bowling, flag football, and fishing. His first son, Tylan Seneca Wilson, was born on September 26, 2007.
