The Meaning of the Cross in the Modern Society of Today
by Flea

In The Meaning of the Cross in the Modern Society of Today, Reverend Darrell Joe Bolden challenges the reader to examine the personal spiritual consequences of Christs death of the cross. In a thoughtful, scripturally based study, the author emphasizes Christs love and mercy for the whole human race and His willingness to save men and women from total destruction through His shed blood and finished work.

As Christians we are charged with living out Christs teachings as we relate to one another and to the larger world. The Meaning of the Cross in the Modern Society of Today reminds us that, although we may face adversity, with trust and faith in God we can stil strive to love one another as we are called to do.

About the Author

Reverend Darrell Joe Bolden is a native of South Carolina and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. A graduate of Union Theological Seminary in Brooklyn, the author has also studied hydraulics and plumbing at Tri-County Tech in Pendleton, South Carolina, and business management at Friendship College, Rutledge College, and Anderson College. He is the father of one son, Joshua, and his personal interests include basketball, crossword puzzles, and reading.

A disabled veteran who sustained a head wound in Vietnam, Rev. Bolden cites the experience of doctors having given up on his chances for recovery as an inspiration for his work. The Meaning of the Cross in the Modern Society of Today is Rev. Boldens first published book.
