Scourged Souls
by Keith N. Corman

Scourged Souls takes place during the American Civil War; however, it is not about the war itself. Instead, it takes the reader into the lives and settings of the characters whose lives cross, for a brief few days during a horrific battle, whether directly or indirectly through relationships. It reflects on the innocence of the characters and daily life. It also enters into personal reflections and the beliefs and plans of those involved.

Author Keith N. Cormanís work will leave readers with a sense that personal lives in previous eras were much like our own now, and that war is harsh and leaves scars on those left behind, whether in the area of conflict or those back out of harmís way on the home front.

About the Author:

Keith N. Corman was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and raised in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, where he lived until 1975. At that time he married his wife, Martha Gail Muncy. After six years of marriage, they became parents of their daughter, Amanda K. Corman.

During his lifetime, Keith has had a keen interest in history, philosophy, politics, and faith. He also is an advocate of the railroad industry, public education of Americaís transportation industry, focusing on the jobs they do and individual safety awareness. In his spare time, Keith photographs railroads, models railroading based on prototype principles, historical research, and writes fiction and poetry.
