Short Time Rhymes With God in Mind
Stanley V. Fuqua; Sr.
It is not easy to change perspectives until we realize that we stand losing something that really matters to us.
In Short Time Rhymes with God in Mind, Stanley Fuqua, Sr., writes rhymes that echo the profound remorse the author feels for the wrongs he has done in the past. In some of the lines, he rues about the loss of his freedom as payment for his errors, while he also laments on how the prison cells have prevented him from providing for his family.
Even then, he notes that these losses are nothing compared to the chance of losing his soul to the prime evil itself. He sees the futility of his past misdeeds and dreads to see Satan waiting for him at the end of the road he treads, ready to collect his due.
The lines reveal a man who recoils just in time to hold onto those things that are dear to him—a man who recovers his senses and spreads the words of change and renewal to others.
Short Time Rhymes with God in Mind is a collection of incisive thoughts and emotions that tell us not to take for granted those things we have and enjoy now.
